Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Enso ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the Simple Bills website at simplebills.in and the Simple Bills application at app.simplebills.in (together, the "Service").
By using the Service — including when you sign in — you agree to this Privacy Policy. Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the Service:
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier to create and secure your Simple Bills account.
- Business data you enter — invoices, customers, vendors, products, stock, purchases, payments, accounting entries, company profile (GSTIN, address, etc.), and other records you choose to store in the Service.
- Subscription and support — plan requests, payment references you share with us for offline activation, and messages when you contact support.
- Technical logs — basic server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, error reports) used to keep the Service secure and reliable.
We do not collect unnecessary personal data and we do not track you across other websites for advertising.
3. How we use your information
We use information only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (billing, inventory, accounting, reports, GST summaries, etc.).
- Authenticate you and protect your account.
- Activate and manage your subscription.
- Respond to support requests.
- Fix bugs, monitor performance, and prevent abuse or fraud against the platform.
- Comply with applicable law when required.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal or business data.
- We do not use your business records for advertising or marketing to third parties.
- We do not share your invoice or accounting data with other Simple Bills customers unless you explicitly use a feature that sends data to another party (for example, network billing you initiate).
5. Third-party services
- Google Sign-In — authentication is handled by Google. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure — the Service runs on secure servers operated by our hosting providers. They process data only on our instructions to run the Service.
- Payment — subscription payment is offline (bank transfer / UPI). We do not store card or UPI PIN details in the app; you share a transaction reference with us only to confirm payment.
6. Data storage and security
- Your business data is stored on servers used to operate the Service. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
- No online system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and signing out on shared devices.
- You should maintain your own backups of critical business records.
7. Data retention
- We retain your business data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after subscription ends, so you can renew or export records if needed.
- We may retain certain logs or records longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (disputes, security, accounting).
- When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in line with our operational practices.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can update most business information directly in the Service (company settings, customers, etc.).
- You can request correction or deletion of your account data by contacting us (subject to legal retention requirements).
- You may stop using the Service at any time by not renewing your subscription.
If you are entitled to rights under applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where applicable), you may contact us to exercise them.
9. Cookies and local storage
The marketing website may use minimal cookies or local storage for basic functionality. The Simple Bills application uses browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember workspace settings (company, financial year). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
